Magnificent cities of Greece

When talking about Greece many people will involuntarily recall a famous phrase once said by a movie character: “Greece has it all”.  And indeed, for the tourist in Greece there is almost everything: a fascinating history, many architectural and natural monuments, recreation by the warm sea, colourful and distinctive cuisine and so on. And, to discover this wonderful country tourists can many times, because each Greek city is just a sea of positive emotions and fairy tale impressions.

Iya

It is a city which is located on the island of Santorini and it is not just beautiful. It is divinely beautiful, incredibly beautiful. And it owes it to the materials of which the houses are built. The city is built of volcanic rocks, the specificity of which allows the builders to realize their wildest fantasies. Therefore it is not surprising that there are many professional and amateur artists among the travellers to Iya. However, for the average traveller there is plenty to see and do.

Nafplion

Located on the island of Peloponnese, Nafplion is almost an architectural monument. The vast majority of the buildings in Nafplion are of historical and architectural interest. There are Christian and Muslim places of worship, houses and squares. The fortress of Palamidi is the sturdiest and most majestic building in the city. It is one of the best preserved ancient fortresses in Europe.

Mykonos

Situated on the island of the same name, Mykonos is a traditional Greek town that lacks any notable historical or cultural monuments. Nevertheless, Mykonos attracts a great number of tourists. It is situated in a beautiful setting and the natural beauty is simply unbelievable. There is also a lot of entertainment for all tastes.

Simi

The name of the town, along with the island it is located on, is a haven for those who love peace and quiet in a beautiful place. Much of the architecture in Simi is of 19th century neo-classical style. It is predominantly visited by tourists who like to spend a few days hiking and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The majority of the tourists that visit Symi are excursionists, who are brought from the nearby island of Rhodes. However, some travelers go to Symi and the town of the same name to meditate during their leisurely strolls.

Lindos

Lindos is a city on the island of Rhodes, which attracts mainly beach lovers. The sandy beaches are some of the best in Greece, but Lindos also has some interesting sights. However, the city also has some interesting sights to see. The fortress, built back in the 14th century, is one of the first to see.

Assos

Located on the island of Kefalonia the city attracts tourists looking for a beautiful and quiet place to stay. There are very few tourist attractions, but that’s its beauty. Assos is a haven for quiet holidaymakers, who want to spend time in a picturesque area with beautiful architecture and beautiful scenery.
